Leagues forming in the future, fill in the contact form at the bottom of the page for more information.
One of the fastest growing sports in the country, Pickleball appeals to players of all ages. The game of Pickleball has been compared to tennis, badminton, and ping-pong. It is easy to learn but still challenging, because the intensity level increases as the players’ skills do. We have leagues available for beginners to advanced players. Please check the schedule for upcoming league information.
Pickleball League Format
Doubles Ladder League – You don’t need to have a partner. This format is designed for the maximum amount of flexibility for the players. Players may miss a week or more because of their schedule. The only requirement is to inform the ladder captain at least 48 hours before your scheduled match time, otherwise, you’ll be listed as a “no-show”.
This format is designed so that players play others of similar skill level. The ranking is based on the winning percentage (ratio of points won to total points possible). Each week, the players will be placed in groups of 4 or 5 in the order of the ranking on the ladder. Players will play three doubles games in a round-robin fashion with the other players of the foursome, (or fivesome). Each game will be played to 15, win by 1.
The league champion is determined by the player with the highest winning percentage at the conclusion of the league.
Round Robin League – You don’t need to have a partner. All of the players in the league will be placed in a round-robin schedule at the start of the league. There will be a one or two-week tournament at the conclusion of the league to determine the league champion.
To reserve a place on any Ladder League, KIVA must receive the full league payment of $30.00. Team reservations will be handled on a first come-first serve basis. We must receive your full payment one week before your current session’s league tournament. Non-payment will result in losing your team’s place in the league. Any fees that are paid AFTER your deadline (1 week before the tournament) will have a $5 late fee added.
Players will need a Pickleball paddle in order to compete. KIVA has paddles available for players to borrow. KIVA also has the ability to order paddles and grips for players; simply ask the league manager for the paddle brochure.
Pickleball Cancellation Policy
Any cancellation without securing a sub within 48 hours of the league will be considered a “no-show. For any player who is a “no show”, said player will be removed from the remainder of the league without a refund. Players who know in advance they have to miss a game must notify the league manager so a sub can be secured before the 48 hours of their scheduled matches. When one person does not show up, it shuts down a court and forces a missed league opportunity for three players.
We value our players and want everyone to have a good time. We must enforce these cancellation policies to protect the players in the league
